Marketing for a Better World - 2015

Marketing can get a bad rap. People think marketers are trying to trick them into spending money on things they don’t need. But what if they have it wrong? What if marketing can make the world a better place? During our first ever Marketing for a Better World conference, we showcased marketing companies & executives that have made a concerted effort to have a positive impact on the world. These executives shared their experiences with Ohio State Students (including students outside Fisher), Columbus area professionals, and non-profit organizations.

This year marked the first Marketing for a Better World event, hosted by AMP and Fisher Board Fellows. This event is unique in its goal to bring together those who are dedicated to marketing, service, and bettering the community. The event features keynote speakers who discuss the challenges and triumphs of integrating business with corporate social responsibility. To further explore these challenges, an interactive workshop brings together diverse teams of Fisher graduate and undergraduate students, Fisher faculty members, business professionals, and non-profit professionals. Together, these teams come up with innovative solutions to solve existing problems, better the community, and grow corporate social responsibility initiatives.
